Today for fun I decided to do a google search and see what types of houses were being built in Colorado [where I'm sitting right now] in 1895 [same year as our house.]
I was very surprised to see that the Molly Brown House popped up.
It's hard to imagine Molly being a contemporary to our home's 1st owner/builder, Ross. Everything I've ever heard about Molly was about her being bigger-than-life, and outspoken. I wonder if they would've gotten along if they were stuck in the same room? :)
Rob and I have driven by the Molly Brown house tons of times, as it's down near where I used to have my Sunday Sewing/crafty club meetings.
First of all, Molly's house is made of beautiful stone. I wish my house was stone....it would probably be warmer in the winter.
This is Molly's house during the 1950s...there's a ton of trees and stuff around it now.
Even with all her riches, look at Molly's dining room curtains. I could easily replicate that in my house!
I kinda like how Molly decorated. I wish I had pics of how Ross had our house set up back in the day!
