Recently it occurred to me that the kitchen and mudroom on the back corner of the house were 2 spaces I hadn't really attempted anything with. Sure, there was that one time when baseboards went up, but besides that, the space was unchanged from the day I bought the house.
I decided to give the kitchen a mini-facelift last weekend. Here's what it looked like before...
but definitely still looking like it had been through 60+ years of being a rental property.
And there were a few spots where baseboards were left out...and the indoor/outdoor carpet was still around in bits and pieces. [yes. it went UP the walls.] And the gold trim. And the adhesive.
In the mudroom, I had patched settling cracks in the walls, but never did much more with them.
Because honestly, I had bigger things on my mind. And I was never really in this area.
Updates to follow....
